2008 Marketing Panels:

October 9

This panel, held at Patrick's Cabaret, featured four expert Lake Street marketers: Dana Munson from Jungle Theater, Anne Saxton from Bryant Lake Bowl and Barbette, Julie Ingebretsen from Ingebretsen's, and Melanee Meegan from Peace Coffee. These very successful Lake Street businesspeople shared their insights into how they market and what strategies work best. We also had a visit from State Senator Patricia Torres Ray, who spoke about how the small business community can come to the state legislature for assistance.

July 24

This panel took place at the Midtown Sheraton at Chicago & Lake. We had a great panel discussion featuring Patricia Effenberger from the Pioneer Press, restaurant writer Carla Waldemar, and Maureen McCarthy from the Star Tribune, moderated by Trisha Volpe, a KARE 11 reporter. This panel discussion will focus on how to get news media interested in what your business is doing, and what makes for a good story for them to share with their audience. We took lots of notes, and we're sharing them with you here.
