of the Lake Street Corridor business community.
The Latest on
Lake:
- October is ushering
in a new host of events on Lake Street! For one, it's time once again
for In the Heart of the Beast Theatre's Saturday morning puppet
shows. For almost Saturday from now through March, join HOBT at
either 10:00 AM or noon for performances for kids of all ages. After the
10:00 AM shows, HOBT will be doing puppet making workshops across the street
at Plaza Verde, for kids 3-12 and their adult companions. The workshops are
only $4 a person and the puppet shows are $1 for neighborhood residents and $3
otherwise, a great deal for everyone who comes.
- Saturdays are also
great days to come to the Midtown Global Market,
where events are taking place the next three weekends. Coming up on the
6th is the Midtown Yoga Festival, which goes all
day from 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM. Check out over 30 local yoga
vendors, cultural entertainment, mediation, lectures, bodywork and more.

week on the 13th is the Dia de la Raza Celebration, part of

dancing will be featured, with door prizes those who show up might win.
