Beginning November 14th: Souvenir, at Jungle Theater

"A wildly funny and surprisingly touching portrait of real-life musical laughingstock Florence Foster Jenkins - a wealthy society widow who professed to be a great opera soprano, but instead had an uncanny ability to stay consistently off-key."

November 14th & 15th:
Handmade Puppet Dreams, at In the Heart of the Beast Theatre
8:00 PM on the 14th, 10:00 AM on the 15th, 1500 E. Lake St.
Heather Henson's production company, IBEX Puppetry, presents a selection of puppet film shorts by independent artists exploring their handmade craft specifically for the camera.

November 14th & 15thThe Somewhat Sci-Fi Variety Show, at Patrick's Cabaret
8:00 PM, 3010 Minnehaha Ave.
An evening of Hip-hop, House dance, comedy improv, comedy dance, singing, and Breakdance. All done with science fiction flavor!

November 15th: Third Annual Green Gifts Fair, at Midtown Global Market
10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 920 E. Lake St.
Shop green-gift options for the holidays from local green and fair trade vendors and artists.  In addition, the gifts fair offers workshops and information displays and tables on how to have a low waste, green holiday season.


November 19th & 20th: 20/20 Community Development Expo

Presented by MCCD and LISC Twin Cities. Bringing together community development practitioners, partners, and policymakers to celebrate our collective work in the Twin Cities and look ahead to the future of community development's role in promoting neighborhood revitalization and regional vitality.

November 29th: Kids Book Club, at East Lake Library

This month's book is The Year of the Dog by Grace Lin. "Frustrated at her seeming lack of talent for anything, a young Taiwanese American girl sets out to apply the lessons of the Chinese Year of the Dog, those of making best friends and finding oneself, to her own life.
