November 5th: Energy Workshop for Renters, presented by Longfellow Community Council
6:30 - 8:00 PM, 3435 36 Ave. S. (Longfellow Park)
"Join the Longfellow Community Council for an important discussion on how to cut back on energy costs in rental units!  We will have speakers from the Center for Energy and the Environment and Community Action to discuss ways you can save! Enjoy dinner on us and a chance to win a $50 gift certificate to the Reuse Center.  This is a family friendly event and CHILDCARE is provided.  Spanish translation is also available."

November 7th-10th: Miss America, at Open Eye Figure Theatre

The French mouse, Anatole, is a respectable business-mouse and the first vice-president in charge of cheese tasting of the Duvall Cheese Factory. See what happens when the factory cat appears! Part of HOBT's Saturday Puppet Shows for Kids series.

November 10th: Backyard Initiative Kickoff, at Allina

The Backyard Initiative is Allina's effort to galvanize a coalition of community-based, government, education and healthcare organizations and community members towards improving the health and healthcare of residents of the Phillips Community and surrounding neighborhoods. Heather Henson's production company, IBEX Puppetry, presents a selection of puppet film shorts by independent artists exploring their handmade craft specifically for the camera.
