Metro
Transit's Twinkle Bus is coming to Lake
Street! The current plan is to have it go up and down the street from Uptown
to 41st Ave. during the noon hour on Thursday, and from 4:00 - 6:30 PM Monday
next week. The coming Friday and Tuesday are alternate dates in case of
weather issues. This will be used as an opportunity to promote the 21 Hop
+ Shop, and to bring yet more holiday cheer to
Lake.

Minneapolis
Employment and Training Program has funding available for small businesses
that have incumbent worker training needs. They are seeking small
businesses with employees who need basic skills (including English as a second
language) or occupational skills training. Their targeted industries are
construction, healthcare, professional services, financial services, advanced
manufacturing, and transportation. This is a great opportunity to offer small
business on Lake Street training funds for their existing workforce! Proposals are to be received no
later than 4:00 Friday December 31, 2006, so act quickly if
