December 17th: Charitable Holiday Event for the Domestic Abuse Project, at Covered

Artifical Designer Christmas trees provided by Season Dreams will be lighting up the store!  Vibrant, edgy, and luminous, these trees will last you and your family for years!  The Christmas trees will be available for purchase through a silent auction with 100% of the proceeds being donated to DAP.
 
December 20th: Cucarachita Martina y el Raton Perez, at In the Heart of the Beast Theatre
10:00 AM and 12:00 PM, 1500 E. Lake St.
A bilingual version of the most popular folk tale from Cuba and Puerto Rico. Part of HOBT's Saturday morning puppet shows for kids.

Through December 21st: Lost Letters to Santa, at Bryant Lake Bowl

"You can lose your keys, your way, hair, mind, girlish figure, dreams, temper, panties…pretty much anything. But a LOST Letter To Santa?! What might become of you! What became of them?"

Through December 21st: La Natividad, at In the Heart of the Beast Theatre
6:30 PM, 1500 E. Lake St.
This moving holiday show combines street theatre, HOBT’s distinctive puppetry, and an outdoor candle-lit procession. Based on the Mexican tradition of Las Posadas, the audience moves outside the theatre and becomes part of the action.

December 27th: Kids Book Club, at East Lake Library

This month's book is Redwall by Brian Jacques. "When the peaceful life of ancient Redwall Abbey is shattered by the arrival of the evil rat Cluny and his villainous hordes, Matthias, a young mouse, determines to find the legendary sword of Martin the Warrior which, he is convinced, will help Redwall's inhabitants destroy the enemy."

December 31st: New Year's Eve Spectacular, at Bryant Lake Bowl

Ring in the New Year with “the Twin Cities’ Sharpest Sketch Comedy Team”  Featuring “smart, manic” comedy, music, dance, special surprise guests, and more broken resolutions than you can shake a Scrimshaw at! Complimentary party favors at both shows! The late show goes all the way to 2009!
