: International Folk Cabaret, at Patrick's Cabaret

Featuring performers from Argentina, Armenia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Eden Prairie, Egypt, France, Hungary, Moldavia, Romania, and Transylvania.

December 8th: Martina the Cockroach and Perez the Rat, at In the Heart of the Beast Theatre

10:00 AM & 12:00 PM, 1500 East Lake Street

A bilingual (Spanish/English) version of the most popular folk tale from Cuba and Puerto Rico.

December 8th: Opening of "Paris Noir: Reflections from the Dark Side of the City of Lights", at Obsidian Arts

Artists Alexis Peskine, Ernest Arthur Bryant III, and Constant Kpami in a conversation about the parallels of tension based slang from France, the United States, and Cote d’ Ivoire.

December 31st: Kwanzaa Celebration, at Obsidian Arts

Celebrate the principle of "kuumba" (creativity with food, spoken word, music, and visual art games).


Through January 5th: Dimensions of Indigenous and Mind Fields, at
Intermedia Arts
2822 Lyndale Ave. S.
Mind Fields is an art exhibition that explores the many dimensions of the invisible and make psychological realities tangible. Dimensions of Indigenous showcases seven indigenous artists from around the Twin Cities who use their visual voice to empower, raise consciousness and organize around indigenous peoples' issues.

A Nordic Christmas, at the American Swedish Institute
2600 Park Ave.
This annual holiday exhibit features the 100-year-old Turnblad mansion decorated for Christmas, and highlights traditions of Iceland, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden with decorated trees and table settings for each Nordic country.

A colorful, interactive gallery experience that highlights the connections between people and place in Lake Street's past, present, and future.
