- Minnesota Monthly's food critic Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl recently wrote
a glowing review of the porchetta (Italian pork roast) available at
Il Gatto in Calhoun Square. "The day Il Gatto opened,
Minnesota entered a new and glorious era: We now have a porchetta to
rival New York’s finest—and one that any pork-lover in the state must
taste immediately!"
- Also new in Minnesota Monthly (this one print-only) is its list
of the 99 best splurges in the Twin Cities for under $10. Lake Street
restaurants make the list several times: Taqueria Los Ocampo's
chicken pozole soup, Floating World Cafe's kitsune soba soup, La
Loma's oaxaqueno tamales, Taqueria La Hacienda's al pastor
