Two more reminders
that the 27th & Lake area holds many great dining locations: The Bridge raves about
Midori's Floating World Cafe's
lunch and tea options, and March's Longfellow
Nokomis Messenger gives high marks to Calypso
Cafe.
The National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) is
awarding grants (up to $500 each) for service learning projects planned and
implemented by youth. These projects must address identified needs and impact
crime, violence or drugs. They must be implemented as part of National and
Global Youth Service Day (April 20-22). There is a brief application form and
the deadline is April 1, 2007. You can read more and
download the application from this
PDF on their
website.
Congratulations to Lake Street
