Lake:
The new April Alley newspaper is
now available on our
site. Among the Lake Street news is a story about the next Arbor
Day Greenway planting, a history piece on Welsh
Church near 15th & Lake, and some of the best news and
stories from Lake Street Council.
The City of Minneapolis has received a grant to
install bike racks throughout the city. Part of this
funding has been set aside to help local businesses install bike racks in
front of their establishments. Any interested business should

In
the Heart of the Beastis
ramping up activity for the May Day Parade on May 4th. From
April 5th through May 1st, the theater space at 1500 E. Lake St., Minneapolis
is transformed into a giant community art studio where parade
artists and hundreds of people create the amazing puppets and floats.
Workshops will be held on Saturdays from 8:30-11:30 AM
and 12:30-3:30 PM, and on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
6:30-9:30 PM. Workshops are free and open to
all.
A new piece in Mshale Newspaper
profiles Lake
Street banker Felicia Ravelomananstoa. Felicia came to
Minneapolis from Africa and became a banker and branch manager at the
US Bank at 2700 East Lake. From there, M&I
Bank hired her to run their new 4th & Lake branch, which just
opened recently. Be sure to read the piece, it is
a very interesting Lake Street success story!
City Pages recently reviewedQoraxlow restaurant, on the corner of Lake & Cedar. "All

Celebration, at Midtown Global
Market 2:30 - 3:30 PM, 920 East Lake Street Holi is a popular
Hindu spring festival also known as Festival of Colors. The
Market’s CentralPlaza will feature
traditional Hindu dancing demonstrations and lessons by the four Hindu temples
in the Twin Cities.
