April 27th: Greening Your Business Expo

There will be more than 50 exhibitors showcasing green products and services for the workplace. Admission is free with a business card and pre-registration enters you into a drawing for two Twins tickets.

This month will feature speakers from the Somali Documentary Project, which recently published a book charting the Somali diaspora.

With each cell phone donation, you will receive a 5% off coupon valid at a number of Calhoun Square restaurants and retailers. Phones will then be recycled through Secure the Call. In addition, the ReUse Center, the Green Institute, MN Energy Challenge and more will be in the atrium from 5:30-7:30, sharing information about their programs and what you can do to make a difference. As the former lead school counselor for the St. Paul Public School District and a Past President of the Minnesota School Counselors Association, Colleen Baldrica is no stranger to helping people listen to their inner voice. Her book Tree Spirited Woman is a narrative that takes the reader through one woman's intimate transformation from the death of her maternal grandmother to the establishment of a new and guiding friendship with a wise and mystical woman. Along the way, she learns to "let go and trust" in love, personal relationships, and, utimately, death.

Bain Boehlke directs a stellar cast in an electrifying Jungle production. When George, a disillusioned academic, and Martha, his caustic wife, invite a handsome young professor and his mousy wife home for a nightcap, an innocent night of fun and games quickly turns dark and dangerous. Long-buried resentments are unleashed as George and Martha turn their razor-sharp wits against each other, using their guests as pawns in their verbal sparring. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Play, and considered by many to be Albee’s masterpiece.

Frank Theatre presents the premiere of an original company-developed adaptation of Franz Kafka’s classic 1912 novella, Metamorphosis, one of the most analyzed stories in modern literature that continues to elicit vast interest and interpretation on the stage, in film and music.

Featuring the work of seventeen of the most notable designers in Sweden today -- and they're all women. The exhibit includes more than 60 examples of design in the form of furniture, textiles, and functional and decorative works in glass, ceramics, wood, steel, and other materials.
