a cohesive strategy to ensure the ongoing vitality
of the Lake Street Corridor business community.
The Latest on Lake:
- Lake Street is now on Facebook!
If you're there too, please become a fan and encourage your friends to
do the same. We'll use it to keep the local community update on big
Lake Street news and events.
- The Lyn-Lake
Street Fest was a big success, with beautiful weather, great
musical acts, and crowds that kept growing and growing. We have
pictures and video up for viewing now on Flickr,
and yes, we've got some on Facebook
too.
- There's an important Regulatory Services Symposium coming
up on June 2 from 8:30 - 10:30 AM, which will feature City Council
members, Regulatory Services staff and others speaking with business
and property owners about how Regulatory Services works, the impact of
new ordinances, and more. We're working with the West Broadyway
Coalition and others to bring together this event. It's being held
at Masjid An-Nur, 1729 Lyndale Ave. N. Please join us to learn
more and make your voice heard. Call 612-521-1749 to learn more.
- We have a new section of our Visit Lake Street website devote to
Lake Street's surrounding
neighborhoods. This section is thanks to the Live MSP

Open Eye Figure Theatre proudly presents a new signature work by
artistic director Michael Sommers, who explores the world of late
1950’s—early 1960’s children’s television programs and the influence of
burlesque, parlor tricks, gags, and carnival games. Dummy, A Display,
reveals that Leonard has succeeded in enticing El to revive the old act
and once again live the dream of the good old days. Of course, Leonard
has a lot riding on it and he might even know that he is setting
himself up just a little bit. But maybe the world is ready for their
act again. Maybe Leonard isn’t so bad to be around after all…maybe he
is still as exciting as he used to be.
