The Latest on
Lake:
This is one of our favorite weeks of
the year, because with the school year over and the summer starting, it means
that the Lake Street
Ambassadors are back on the job! This year we have 2 teams with 4
kids per team. We're splitting the teams up to cover more ground each day, so
Lake Street will get a more thorough cleaning than ever. Be
sure to look for them as they go by with their Visit Lake Street shirts,
picking up the trash on your sidewalk. Thanks as always to our sponsors:
Allina, Ryan Companies, US Bank, Metro Transit, and the node association at
Lyndale, Nicollet, Chicago, Bloom-Cedar, Hiawatha, and
Longfellow.
Good news for the Resource Center of the
Americas building at Minnehaha, as the building has reopened with the
Resource Center itself again residing there. They are also looking for a
new coffee shop or cafe to set up shop there, contact Mark at
952-944-9000 if you're interested. The new
building owner says, "I was very excited when it became available for purchase
as I will continue to honor the tradition of the building while renovating it
for continued growth to meet the needs of our tenants."
