June 17th: Two Chairs Telling, at Open Eye Figure Theatre
7:30 PM, 506 E. 24th St.
Featuring Tom Cassidy, who has performed his written works at 200+ festivals, and Desdamona, the premiere female hip hop and spoken word artist in the Midwest.

June 18th
: Lake Street Construction Meeting
2:00 PM, 105 West Lake Street (Champions)
County & City project staff discuss the latest construction updates and listen and respond to business concerns.

June 18th
: Feeding Frenzy on the Patio, at Longfellow Grill
5:00 - 9:00 PM, 2990 West River Parkway
Featuring $2 Landsharks, 2 Tacos for $1, and a live performance with Jambo Joe Bones.

June 20th: The Three Nordic Tenors Concert, presented by the Danish American Center
7:30 PM, 3100 W. River Parkway (Minnehaha Academy)
Classical music from the world of opera, operetta, Broadway musicals and Scandinavian folk songs. $25 for members, $35 for non-members. Call 612-242-4372 for any questions.

June 22nd: Global Bike Days, at Midtown Global Market
10:00 AM - 6:00 PM, 920 E. Lake St.
Bike information, family activities, and various entertainment comes to the Market for this bicycling-promoting event. Various vendors will offer "Taste of the Market" specials. The CEPRO site will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2:30 PM to celebrate the newest greenway access ramp, located near the Market.

June 24th: Lyn-Lake Small Area Plan Meeting
7:00 - 9:00 PM, 625 31st Ave. S. (Redeemer Health & Rehab Center)
Come to this meeting to hear an overview of the process to come, review information about existing conditions and land use policy, and discuss your vision for the future of the Lyn-Lake area. A short online survey is available for those who can't make the meeting.

June 27th: "Polish Your Pitch" Workshop from Women Venture
6:00 - 9:00 PM, 2324 University Ave. in St. Paul
Learn to become more comfortable pitching yourself or your business, brush up on your presentation techniques for greater audience impact, and learn to communicate what makes you different.

Put on by Bryant Lake Bowl, celebrating gay pride in Uptown.

"On the porch of a run down nursing home, cantankerous and somewhat unstable Weller Martin is playing a game of solitaire when he is interrupted by prim Fonsia Dorsey. She joins him for a game of gin rummy and they begin a prickly friendship as they reveal the truths behind the life stories they've created."
