Lake Street Council's
mission is to build a cohesive strategy to ensure the ongoing vitality
of the Lake Street Corridor business community.
The Latest on
Lake:
Would you like to see a green
wall on your building? Lake Street Council recently received a
Graffiti Prevention Grant from the City of Minneapolis.
We're working with Corrie Zoll and Earth Wizards to install one
or more "green walls" along Lake Street. Green walls can be used to
grow plants on the facade of a building to make it less
attractive for graffiti tagging. A trellis system keeps plants from
damaging the building. Last year, Earth Wizards installed a permeable
patio and rain garden to accommodate a rain leader disconnection on Lake
Street at Ingebreten's.

areas. Westbound Lake Street buses will now travel on Nicollet, 31st, and
Lyndale before returning to Lake, while eastbound buses will travel on
Lyndale, 31st, and 1st Ave. before resuming their normal
