June 2nd & 5th: The Adventures of Katie Tomatie, by Open Eye Figure Theatre

School is out for summer and Katie wants to do nothing. Planting her favorite tomatoes, she digs too deep in her garden and is surprised by Mr. Boo Boo, a funny skeleton that is full of life and ready for adventure. Part of Open Eye's Driveway Tour 2009.

June 2nd: Open House at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School-Twin Cities has begun recruiting 9th and 10th graders for the 2009-2010 school year. Cristo Rey is a private, college-prep high school that serves families of all faiths/ethnic groups who are of modest means. All students at Cristo Rey are enrolled in college preparatory classes and nationally 95% go on to college after graduating from Cristo Rey. All students participate in our Hire4Ed program, where student have a cooperate internship in banks, law firms, hospitals, etc. earning 70% of their school costs. In honor of its third birthday, Midtown Global Market will host the inaugural Global Bake-Off, where a variety birthday cakes and desserts will be available for sampling.  Market visitors are invited to taste, vote for their favorites and take the recipes home.

Come browse the aisles as we display assorted screen-printed works from these talented concert poster artists throughout the store. Uptown Association was recently awarded a Great Streets Business District Support Grant. The grant was awarded to help the Uptown Association brand and market the Uptown community. They would like to share more information about the grant, the next steps and our plans for moving forward. They are also asking for your input at this very exciting time in Uptown’s growth.
