June 4th: Lake Street Construction Meeting
2:00 PM, 105 West Lake Street (Champions)
County & City project staff discuss the latest construction updates and listen and respond to business concerns.

June 5th: Uptown Graffiti Meeting, presented by Uptown Association
8:30 - 10:00 AM, 3036 West Lake Street (Lake Calhoun City Apartments Community Room)
This free event is designed especially for Uptown businesses and organizations. The focus will be on graffiti and how to minimize it on and around your business.

June 6th: Lake Street Inspections Meeting
12:00 - 2:00 PM, Midtown Sheraton (at Chicago & Lake)
Minneapolis Regulatory Services Director Rocco Forte joins us to explain how inspections fit into Minneapolis's goals and business plan, and to listen to the concerns of local business owners. RSVP to Lake Street Council by June 4th to get a free lunch while you attend. Call 612-822-0232.

June 6th: Author Reading at Magers & Quinn

June 7th: Scandinavian Civil War Veterans Lecture & Walking Tour, at Ingebretsen's and Pioneers and Soldiers Memorial Cemetery
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, beginning at 1601 East Lake Street
Cemetery historian Susan Hunter-Weir highlights the lives and contributions of the Scandinavian Civil War veterans who are buried in there. The class will start with a one-hour talk in the Needlework classroom, followed by a one-hour walking tour of the cemetery.

June 7th: Author Book Signing at Uncle Edgar's Bookstore

David Housewright signs copies of Madman on a Drum, the fifth in his series about unlicensed Twin Cities P.I. McKenzie.

June 13th: Old Arizona Wine Tasting & Silent Auction

Join Old Arizona to sample and learn about a variety of fine California wines. Imported and domestic cheeses and pintxos will be served. $20 per person in advance $25 at the door. Tickets available from their website.
