The Latest on Lake:
- Finance
& Commerce reports that the now-closed Uptown Bar is eyeing
a new home in Lyn-Lake. They're interested in the Lyndale Theatre
building at 2934 Lyndale Ave. S., which has been vacant for several
years and was most recently home to Theater Antiques.
- The Star Tribune wrote
up a review of "Traveling Light", which is perhaps most notable for
its location -- it's being staged inside the Pioneers &
Soldiers Memorial Cemetery at Cedar & Lake. It runs through
July 28.
- City Pages's Hot Dish recently
interviewed Town Talk Diner chef Tommy Begnaud on a variety of
subjects. Included
are his choices for favorite dishes on the Town Talk menu (the Begnaud
Burger, lamb chops, cheese curds, and the "Oldest Fashion" cocktail)
and a must-try from the new menu (Wild Acres Fried Chicken). Read part
1, part
2, and part
3.
