July 16th: Lake Street Construction Meeting
2:00 PM, 105 West Lake Street (Champions)
County & City project staff discuss the latest construction updates and listen and respond to business concerns.

Starting July 18th: Hedwig and the Angry Inch, at Jungle Theater
2951 Lyndale Ave. S.
"This cult production about an 'internationally ignored' rock-n-roll goddess who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex change operation is an inspiring anthem to anyone who has ever felt life gave them an inch when they deserved a mile."

July 19th: Bicycle Tour of Historic Longfellow Parks and Grain Milling Sites
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM, Starting at 29th Ave. & Lake St.
As part of the Minneapolis Aquatennial celebration of Minneapolis’ and Minnesota’s sesquicentennial, the Longfellow Community Council is sponsoring a history bicycle tour. The tour focuses on the western part of the neighborhood, starting at 29th Avenue and East Lake and ending at Minnehaha Park. Call LCC at 612-722-4529 for more information.

July 19th: Lake Street Festival, presented by Latino Communications Network
12:00 - 8:00 PM, Lake Street from Bloomington to 13th
A one-day music festival that celebrates the contribution Latino cultures have made to the area.

July 19th: Bike Cop Program Fundraiser
2:00 - 4:00 PM, 105 West Lake Street (Champions)
Mingle with neighbors and support community safety at this fundraiser, which is $10 per ticket. Contact sarah@lyndale.org to learn more.

July 20th: First Annual Chiang Banger Concert, at Chiang Mai Thai
2:00 - 10:00 PM, corner of Lake & Girard west of Calhoun Square
10 local bands will perform at this free outdoor event, open to all ages, with fresh spring rolls, satays, hamburgers and hot dogs available for purchase.

Through July 20th: Lord of the Flies, at Old Arizona
7:30 PM Fridays and Saturdays, 2:00 PM Saturdays and Sundays, 2821 Nicollet Ave.
William Golding's novel about a group of English schoolboys who are plane-wrecked on a deserted island comes to stage, using an all-youth cast.

July 25th & 26th: Queer Boyz Nite, at Patrick's Cabaret
8:00 PM, 3010 Minnehaha Ave.
Curated by Justin Leaf, Mistress Ginger emcees and performs with an amazing line up including Irita Foucault, Nicolas Lincoln, Scotty Reynolds, Kenny Kiser, and Kats Fukasawa.

July 26th: "Decorate the Well in Gratitude" Water Carnival and Street Fair, at In the Heart of the Beast
1:00 - 6:00 PM, 1500 East Lake Street
Puppet shows, wishing wells, art installations, creative art-making activities, interactive displays and games for all ages, with the dedication ceremony starting at 3:00 PM.

Free family fun, with the puppet shows starting at 7:30, and ice cream and live music until 9:00.

July 27th: One Hot Day, at Midtown Global Market
