The Latest on
Lake:
Yesterday, a news team from KARE 11
came down to Lake Street to do a story focusing on this year's
Lake
Street Ambassadors, which aired on the 6:00 news last night. If
you missed it then, be sure to check out the story and the video on their
website! And to have a look at all of this year's crew in one place, we
now have an updated
picture with all 8 of them.
And thanks to our friends at the
Produce Exchangewho recently donated some juice to refresh them after a long day, and
at Frattallone's
Hardware for getting us a good deal on the pik stiks that
they use to get garbage off the street. If you have something you'd like to
give to them to thank them for all their hard work, let us
know!
Our next Marketing
Panel Discussionis coming right up on July
24th, and it's shaping up to be another valuable event for business owners.
Building off the success and feedback from the first marketing panel, this one
will focus on how to get the local news media interested in your
business. We'll have panelists from the Star Tribune, Pioneer Press,
Latino Communications Network and more, and our moderator will be reporter
Trisha Volpe. Visit the
webpage now to get more information and to RSVP
online!
American
RadioWorks, the documentary unit for public radio, is doing
a feature on Lake Street and wants your input. At
their site, they're asking for your strongest memories of Lake Street, how
it's changed over the years, and a photograph you might have that embodies
your memory of Lake Street. Go there and share your
story!
The new July edition of The Alley
newspaper is now available on our website. We
have two Lake Street profiles in this edition, Michelle Gayer &
The Salty Tart and Manny Gonzalez & Manny's
Tortas, as well as another Pioneers & Soldiers Cemetery
story from Susan Hunter-Weir.
