Lake Street Council's
mission is to build a cohesive strategy to ensure the ongoing vitality
of the Lake Street Corridor business community.
The Latest on
Lake:
KSTP aired their story on
our Lake Street
Ambassadors program, and how it helps clean up the street in more
ways than one, this morning on their morning show. For everyone who may not
have been up that early, you can still see it for yourself, it's now on their
website.
Speaking of good media coverage,
last week we had our second marketing panel event, and the
notes we took on it are now on our
site, available to all. It was a great discussion with lots of
specific pointers on how to pitch your story and who to get it to, and will be
well worth your time to have a read.
And if you're interested in some
radio publicity, every month we have one Lake Street business
appear on KFAI's Conversations with Al
McFarlane. If you'd like that to be you, send us a line letting
us know who you are and what you'd like to discuss on
air.
The Corcoran Mural Team
is beautifying Lake Street once again! This time it's at 1841 East
Lake Street, this Saturday (Aug. 2) from 10 AM - 4 PM. They've posted all the details and
how to get involved, so check it out and be sure to have a look at the
building next week!
Another great local murals team, the Walldogs on Nicollet,
recently completed some projects off their own, including on close to Lake
Street, right off 31st & Nicollet. Take note of all their great work as
well
And finally, it's Fringe Festivaltime
once again in Minneapolis, with several Lake Street locations involved. Both
Bryant
Lake Bowland Intermedia
Arts are hosting many different shows at various days and
times, while McMahon's
Pub has one show playing in the special "Bring Your Own
Venue" category.
