Lake Street Calendar - Upcoming Events:

August 18th: Disco Workshop, at Rendezvous Dance Studio

August 18th: Amateur Boxing Show, presented by Circle of Discipline

Featuring a winner and second-place finisher at the Ringside World Championship tournament.


August 24th: Midtown Greenway Coalition's Progressive Dinner Party
Appetizers at Old Arizona, main course at Pi, dessert at the home of Jim Davnie & Cara Letofsky.

August 24th & 25th: Elements in Translation, at Patrick's Cabaret

Sample local urban talent, done with local urban style. Choreography set to music, freestyling with live drumming, spoken word, and vocals with live instrumentation & recorded beats.

September 18th: Grand Opening of "Right On Lake Street"
6:00 - 9:00 PM, 345 Kellogg Blvd. W. (Minnesota Historical Society, in St. Paul)
Various music, theatrical performances, food samplings, and more throughout the evening. Exhibit continues through March 9th.

September 27th - 30th: Explorations in Flamenco, at Intermedia Arts
8:00 PM Thursday - Saturday, 7:00 PM Sunday, 2822 Lyndale Ave. S.
Intermedia Arts and Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre present Explorations in Flamenco, a night of exciting new dance pieces by flamenco choreographers and dancers. Part I: Hiroshima—A Night Dreamt and a Day Flashed to Burn; Part II: Tia (Auntie).

Through October: Sacred Beauty: Treasures from Swedish Cathedrals and Churches, at The American Swedish Institute

A series of four related exhibits share the experiences of Swedish-American faith traditions. The first is "Sacred Beauty: The Augustana Lutheran Tradition." It includes metalwork, textiles, photographs, documents, furniture and more.
