Lake Street Council's
mission is to build a cohesive strategy to ensure the ongoing vitality
of the Lake Street Corridor business community.
The Latest on
Lake:
To complement our Visit Lake Street
brochure, Lake Street Council has started producing rack
cards for the different sections of Lake Street that will be tucked
inside the brochure and give people even more reason to visit and places to
go. The East Lake card is now complete, and we've posted
images of it on our
website, if you haven't seen it in person yet. The Midtown
card is in production now, with West Lake coming
next. Special thanks to Ruth Romano and Kathy Nelson
from Longfellow Business Association for all they
work they put into the East Lake card.
Lake
Street Council has been in communication with the Midtown Greenway
Coalitionfor some time now about better
connecting Lake Street and the Greenway, including Greenway
signage that points to destinations on Lake. The Greenway Coalition
is moving this forward, with the issue up for discussion at their next
Land Use and Transportation Committee Meeting. It's happening
on September 8th from 6:00 - 8:00 PM, at their office on the
Greenway next to the Freewheel Bike Center. Lake Street Council is a member of
the Greenway Coalition, and we encourage all interested Lake Street business
and property owners to attend.
And finally, we're hitting triple
digits today, as this is the 100th edition of our weekly
e-news! We hope you continue to find this to be both
an informative guide to the newest Lake Street news and
a good way to get the word out about your own activities in
the area. Don't forget, you can always e-mail
with your news, and check out the e-news
archives on our website.
