The Lake Street
Council's mission is to build a cohesive strategy to ensure the ongoing vitality
of the Lake Street Corridor business community.

21 Hop + Shop program is
now less than 2 weeks away! After the kickoff on October 5th,
ride Metro Transit's Route 21 bus on Lake Street and get special offers at
more than 80 Lake Street business locations when you show your pass! Which
businesses? Go to our website and have a look: a list of all the
businesses and what they will be offering is now available.
- Lake Street Council has put together a list of all of the churches in the Lake Street area. If you are interested in this information, please contact us and let us know.
Mary Altman from the City of Minneapolis has sent us a poster of all the art on display along Lake Street, and we are now hosting it on our website on our About Lake Street page. Check out all the creative work that beautifies our area!
The Lake Line, our quarterly printed newsletter, went to print this week. Look for it in your mailbox soon, or stop by our office to get a copy.

Gary Schiff's September 29th Breakfast with Gary will feature former Vice President Walter Mondale. Breakfast with Gary is a monthly event held 7:30 to 9:00 AM the final Friday of the month at the Café of the Americas (3019 Minnehaha Avenue South). $5 buys breakfast. Gary Schiff is a Minneapolis City Council member and Lake Street Council board member.There is a new e-mail newsletter in the Corcoran Neighborhood. The Neighborhood Advocate will report happenings of interest to those in and around the South Minneapolis neighborhood.
