Events in the coming week in the Lake Street area include moto-i's 2nd Anniversary Celebration on October 1st (which is also National Sake Day), A Taste of Phillips Art Festival on October 2nd (with a reception the evening before), two Peter Ostroushko Anniversary & CD Release Concerts at Open Eye Figure Theatre on October 1st & 2nd, and an author reading of the new novel "Adam & Eve" at Magers & Quinn on October 4th.

The Latest on Lake:

• The City of Minneapolis is considering two administrative changes to the Great Streets Real Estate Development Gap Financing Program. City Council will consider 1.) imposing a one percent loan origination fee and 2.) adopting underwriting guidelines. Visit the City's website to read more about the proposed changes and to see how you can leave a public comment on them.
  
  
• The Uptown Mozaic project took one step forward recently, as a City Council's Community Development Committee advanced a proposal to give the project tax-exempt financing.
   
  
• The Mpls-St. Paul Magazine's Readers Survey Poll for best restaurants is now live. Think of your favorite Lake Street places while casting a vote!
  
  
• The new Lake Wine & Spirits is planning a soft opening this weekend! Stop in then and get a first look at this welcome new addition to the Grand & Lake intersection.
