Lake Street Calendar - Upcoming Events:

September 8th: 50's Party, at Andy's Garage in the Midtown Global Market
4:00 - 8:00 PM, 920 East Lake Street
Rock n’ Roll by the TC Cats, classic cars, family entertainment and specials at Andy’s Garage.

September 15th: Bryant Lake Bowl Block Party
5:00 - 10:30 PM, 810 West Lake Street.
Featuring lots of music, local organic food, and a flea market.

September 16th: Mexican Independence Day Celebration
12:00 - 6:00 PM, intersection of 4th Ave. S. & East Lake Street
The day starts with a parade from Bloomington to Clinton at 11:30. Many booths from local businesses, food vendors, schools, churches, and nonprofits serving the Latino community will be there.


September 18th: Lake Street Latino Business Owner Meeting
2:00 PM, 1526 East Lake Street (Guayaquil Restaurant)
A meeting for the Lake Street Latino business owners, City Council Members, and police.

September 18th: Grand Opening of "Right On Lake Street"
6:00 - 9:00 PM, 345 Kellogg Blvd. W. (Minnesota Historical Society, in St. Paul)
Various music, theatrical performances, food samplings, and more throughout the evening. The exhibit continues through March 9th.

Septmeber 21st & 22nd: The Page Out Loud, at Patrick's Cabaret
8:00 PM, 3010 Minnehaha Ave.
"Karawane: or the Temporary Death of the Bruitist", a journal of experimental performance texts, celebrates its 10th anniversary and the release of Issue #10 with a special weekend of performances at Patrick's Cabaret.

September 22nd: Southside Community Festival and Get Out the Vote Celebration
11:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 3400 4th Ave. S. (Green Central Park)
Rescheduled from August because of weather. A community event with the purpose of bringing neighbors together; increasing awareness of city, state, and community resources; and encouraging partnerships between neighbors and organizations.

September 27th - 30th: Explorations in Flamenco, at Intermedia Arts
8:00 PM Thursday - Saturday, 7:00 PM Sunday, 2822 Lyndale Ave. S.
Intermedia Arts and Zorongo Flamenco Dance Theatre present Explorations in Flamenco, a night of exciting new dance pieces by flamenco choreographers and dancers. Part I: Hiroshima—A Night Dreamt and a Day Flashed to Burn; Part II: Tia (Auntie).
